NCAA Football Youth Day at Joe Brown Park set for Wednesday

On Wednesday, July 24, youth football players from New Orleans and the surrounding areas are invited to attend a free half-day clinic led by coaches and student-athletes at Joe Brown Park in New Orleans East. The clinic is hosted by the Allstate Sugar Bowl and R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in partnership with NCAA Football's Youth Initiative.

This clinic, one of 20 being held nationwide over the summer, will give participants the opportunity to meet and work with college coaches and student-athletes to complete on-field agility drills, offensive and defensive training.

"This is such a special chance for youth in our area to take part in something unique, learning from top student-athletes and collegiate coaches," said Paul Hoolahan, the Chief Executive Officer of the Allstate Sugar Bowl. "NCAA Football puts on a first-class event and we're thrilled to have partnered with them over the past five years."

Registration will be open to the first 300 youth attendees ages 5 to 14. Those who are interested in attending the clinic or would like additional information can visit www.ncaafootballclinics.com, or call Austin Martin of the Allstate Sugar Bowl at 504-828-2440 or Jeremy Boyce of the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at 504-525-5678.

Assistant coaches from Tulane, Nicholls State, and Mississippi Valley State, among others, will be in attendance.
