Cutting Hall is Chicago?s major source of entertainment that serves the entertainment and arts needs of different north west suburbs across the state. This performing arts center is maintained and run by the Palatine Park District. It is one of the few regional recreation group owned.

Cutting Hall Background

It is found in Palatine, IIlinois and that is a vital part of Palatine?s arts setting. It was once simply an auditorium at Palatine High School around 1928. The name of the performing arts center was came from Charles Cutting, a devoted principal of the school. He was a lawyer, teacher as well as a well-loved justice in Cook County.

The performing arts center was then moved to more spacious location in 1977 which heralded the shutting down of the facility by 211 Palatine School District. The existing premises was utilized by the neighbors to be a community building center. The main theater was re-designed which paves way to be used as a multi-purpose hall.

Performances

Cutting Hall has managed to stage several shows since 1979. From its modest start as an auditorium it significantly turned out to be the multi-purpose theater in the whole area.
