BEYONCE CREATIVELY ADDRESSES AMERICA?S ENERGY STATUS

If you?ve ever seen, Beyonce perform live in concert, (Auckland City, New Zealand and at The Staples Center in L.A ? for me), you will know that her flair for the dramatic as a music artist is hip hop-esque eccentuated.

Beyonce is a visual storyteller. It?s all about her?eye expressions when she performs. ?

In her new track, Rather die Young, Beyonce articulates a feeling that Eminem and Rihanna began last year, with their hit that spoke of ?burning.? Living in the US at the time, it was THE anthem of the recession years of the USA. L.A young people loved it.

In this rather fatalistic new song from Beyoince, about being in love, the metaphors about fuel, are embedded into a feeling of living life every day with passion. Really though, perhaps Beyonce is alluding to the USA?s fuel issues, that lie ahead. Who knows? Artists!!! :)

Writes The Huffington Post today, ??Beyonce?s new [album] effort, ?4,? which makes its debut on June 24 [features a new track, ?Rather die Young?. The passionate chanteuse has her head deeply wrapped around love, every good and bad part of it all.

On ?Rather Die Young,? one of the album?s featured songs, Bey sings over a Jeff Bhasker-crafted beat that oozes some of the twangy soul reminiscent of the 1970s. The Superpower Horns ? made up of Cole Kamen-Green, Alex Asher and Josiah Woodson all on trumpets, Nick Videen on tenor and alto saxophone and Drew Sayers on tenor and baritone saxophone ? lend their skills to support the R&B beauty?s vocals.

??Cause I rather die young than live my life without you,? Beyonce flows. ?You know I?ve been in love before/ You?re the first one I ever seen that burns my gasoline/ So light a match, turn off the lights/ I?m holding on to you ?cause this might be our last night.?

The BoomBox will release an exclusive track from Beyonce?s ?4? LP daily over the next four days, completing the full album listening experience on June 22. ?I Care? and ?Best Thing I Never Had? have already made their debut.?

I love the way, Beyonce writes her songs in ebonics ? an American artform all of it?s own. Bee takes her ancestors ?speak and use of English, with her, on her musical journey. Hot!

In addition, Bee?s publicist?s name is Young, the same publicist as Rihanna and her sister Solange, so if you?re in the Hollywood know, this is a very neighborhood L.A (Hollywood ditty).

Cute! Paying her respects by collaborating with music artists of the jazz/ blues traditions is also a nice gesture in celebrating African-American?s great contribution to authentic American culture and the sounds that formed the civil rights movement of the 1960?s that greats like Martin Luther King helped further with persuasive oratory, while music artists sung their way to freedom too.

In terms of the song?s message, I think youth should live as old as possible, no matter what love throws their way to navigate through ? but thanks Bee! ;)
