Life Coach Marie Wetmore Shares How Time Management Means More Romance

Jeff and I have had an extra ?romantic week so far.?Even more connected and just plain happier?than usual.?How? Well, we?ve been on top of holding our weekly couples/family meetings lately, which help us get clear on our top priorities for the week ? and help us make time for each other and our values as a couple. Not only have we been getting more done, we?ve been being more romantic! And they go hand in hand!

The bottom line is that we have created a better life through effective time management and are feeling more relaxed. So we?ve organically, without even trying, become more romantic and connected.

So here?s the moral of the story: time management and organization are not just about getting more done. While you do get more done in less time, it also gives you more free time and more clarity of mind. So you?re more practically and emotionally available for romance!

?

So now I want to bust some myths about good time management making you robotic and disconnected ? and reveal the truth about how effective time management can help you add romance your relationship.

?

Let?s look at some myths:

?

1. Myth: effective time management means you?ll be really busy all the time ? and you won?t have time for your relationship anymore.

?

Truth: effective time management means that you are in control of your schedule. If you want to make time for romance, for connection with your partner, or just to relax and do nothing together? Well you can do it. You can do it because you are in the driver?s seat.

?

2. Myth: Time management means that you will not be spontaneous.

?

Truth: effective good time management allows you to clear away the clutter and distractions in your life. You have a good sense of what?s important and a good sense of what?s not so important. Effective time management means you can chunk your time as you see fit. You can create lots of clear, calm time so you can have?of mind. Peace of mind allows you to be authentically spontaneous rather than just being exhausted and worn out, desperately trying to come up with something to forget about your stress.

?

With better time management skills, you will be able to give uninterrupted, spontaneous time to romance. You will have time to connect emotionally, to throw caution to the wind and enjoy the pleasure of being in a relationship. . .

?

3. Myth: Effective time management means you?ll be so busy and productive that you won?t have time to listen, talk, or connect romantically.

?

Truth: improved time management means that you will do things at a calm pace, no more hectic rushing around. You will be clear on your priorities so that when low priority tasks come up you will not be distracted by them. Because you are not rushing you will have time to listen to your partner, give them an extra or kiss or hug, or just plain be more romantic.

?

4. Myth: effective time management means you will become uptight and boring.

?

Truth: effective time management means that you can decompress. You can be?confident that you are taking care of what you need to take care of and that means that you will be more relaxed, easy-going, and available to connect romantically. Your mind will be clear and at peace, meaning that you will be able to be creative and think of wonderful romantic experiences to have with your partner.

?

Effective time management means that you will be clear on what?s most important ? and if having romantic adventures, being loving, and being connected are a priority, then that is what will happen. You will make it happen because you are in charge of your priorities.

?

5. Myth: I don?t need time management in order to be more romantic.

?

Truth: Okay, if you believe your life is completely romantic, and you have all the time you want with your husband, wife, boyfriend, or girlfriend? Well, then awesome!

?

But if you think your life would be better if you were more connected and had more time together, then you do need to work on your time management. Time management isn?t just easy, it can actually be fun when you?re working on it together, and the bottom line is that it works.

?

And, last of all, when you work together to manage your time, the process itself is romantic. It symbolizes your commitment to each other and your shared desire for having a fabulous life together. ?And supporting each other is probably the most romantic experience of all.
