Kisa

Devil City, ten days before Christmas

'It felt like time begun to slow down when the car was heading towards me. I looked to the left, I seemed to be the only one in the car's way. Looking past the two bright orbs of light, I was able to see the eyes of the driver; they were lazy and heavy. I could feel the drunkenness of the man as he approached. The crowd around me just stared as well. I could even hear a man yell 'Hey, she isn't getting out of the way'. I turned towards the car, I don't think the man was paying attention to anything road. If he was, he would have saw me there. I wasn't nervous, my heart rate begun to mirror the revs from the car that was only meters away '

"Boom!" Kisa kept her eyes open as the car flew above her, as though there was an invisible wall erected between her and the car. The car flipped over and over again in the air like a quarter used in a coin toss. Eventually it came smashing down, yards behind Kisa. She turned her lightly golden eyes to car, as though she had just heard something. The sound of a young girl screaming at the smashed, crushed, flipped car woke her from her fleeting trance. She begun to run, it didn't matter where, just as long as it was away from the site of the accident. A man tried to stop her, by grabbing her arm---he saw everything.

"You stopped that car w-with your mind! Tell me how did you do that!?" A crowd of people begun to run toward her, questioning her, ailing her. She released herself from his grasp only to grab her head, attempting to block out the sounds of the constant questioning of people."I just want to go home," She squeezed her eyes shut trying to drown out everything else, "stop." she whimpered as the pounding of the voices grew louder. She had a flash back of her standing outside of a burning house as a child."Shut the fuck up!" She yelled, opening her eyes, which were darken to near black, as an invisible force of raw energy erupted from her body, in a full three hundred and sixty degrees of impact caused the group of people to be thrown off of their feet. She begun to run, once she used her ability again to see a clear path. She managed to find safety behind the protection of a large garbage dumpster in a damp, dark alleyway. She looked around the dumpster to see the police racing to the scene of the group of confused people getting to their feet.

She watched carefully, wishing that she could just disappear. Kisa moved away from the city block, as the thought of her dead sister, "I miss you Acizi, even if I may have caused you death." she said, not noticing the energy of of an other being. She simply tapped into the mind of a few people by using Clairvoyance, trying to get an idea of where she was. 'Of all the days to get lost and cause an accident?' she thought leaving the alley and darting through the people. Stopping a few blocks away from the house, she leaned on her knees as she huffed heavily. "Should've......Took......A........Cab..." Glancing around before dashing the rest of the way, she wishing that she could leave the hell that was her home. But the loud near intolerable music reached her ears, Kisa instantly slowed and cringed. 'Fuck me.' she thought as the numb hollowness sunk in. Climbing the vine encrusted steel lattice up to her room, she slid in and dropped on to her matteress. "I need to get out here." Kisa said aloud.
