The launch of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim patch 1.05 (check out all the details here)?happened earlier today and unfortunately, it includes a giant bug that has affected a large amount of players on the PS3. Although it hasn?t personally happened on our PS3 copies of the game, we?ve had numerous reports of games freezing as soon as you enter into the water anywhere in the game.
So, if you downloaded the patch, do your best to stay out of the water so your game doesn?t freeze. For anyone who has yet to download the patch, disconnect your PS3 from the internet before booting up Skyrim and you?ll be able to play the game without downloading the patch.
Update: Many?people have said that if you delete the game data (not save data) and install both the game and patch again, this will fix the issue.
No word on whether or not this has happened to Xbox 360 owners, but we?ll update you guys on any further developments regarding this bug.
